PreK4Ward classrooms were led by a certified teacher and an assistant. They presented an integrated curriculum designed around the MS Early Learning Standards for 4 year olds. Students attended class from 8:30 to 2:00 on days that the school district asks students to attend.
The goal of each class was to present fun, age-appropriate lessons designed to engage students in readiness skills.
Our evaluations compare student entry scores with their exit scores on basic readiness skills. PreK4Ward scores showed that 100% of the students enrolled make significant progress! On the 2016 K-5 Assessment results showed that PreK4Ward students averaged 544 on a test that had a benchmark score of 530. A score of 530 means a student had acquired 70% of the needed readiness skills to read on grade level by 3rd grade!
